Pretty good, so far. My first (and only) trip to the strip resulted in a best ET and trap of 13.7@105.6, with a 2.2s 60' time. Clearly, with a decent 60' time, the car should run much faster.
The trap speed indicates about 340 HP with a 4375 lb race weight. That's backed-up pretty well by maximum airflow readings of 345 gm/sec. This is pretty low for a 396, but I'm still running the stock throttle body. I also feel that I'm getting some valve float with the XE cam and stock LT4 valve springs (which are periously close to coil bind!). Over the winter, the engine will receive a 58 mm TB, additional head porting, and better valvesprings (I may also install an AFR rev kit).
I'll hopefully get the thing to a dyno in the March or April timeframe, depending on the weather.
